April 2006

For a long while
Snow White lies in her glass coffin
And never changes
But she looks
She is no longer as white as snow
Nor is she as red as blood
And her hair is not as black as ebony
There have been Princes
Who have gazed lovingly upon her
And Snow White has longed to journey with them
To palaces in faraway lands
After love's first bloom
The princes have felt the magnitude
Of her longing
And have freaked out
And have fled
On their white horses
To whence they had come
And Snow White lies
And time passes…
